GACC | Affixed Chinese Label for Dietary Supplements Will Be Rejected Start on Jan 1st 2022

Decree No. 249 of the General Administration of Customs (Decree on the issuance of the “Measures for the Administration of Import and Export Food Safety of the People’s Republic of China”) published by GACC on April 12th, 2021.

The “Measures for the Administration of Import and Export Food Safety of the People’s Republic of China” which is been approved on March 12, 2021. The decree states that start on Jan 1st 2022, the Chinese label of dietary supplements and foods for special dietary use that imported to China should be printed on the smallest sales package and should not be affixed.

CCIC Chicago reminds you that before negotiating import purchases, it is necessary to communicate with foreign companies to print Chinese labels on the smallest sales packages of the above two categories of food to avoid problems such as delays in customs clearance or failure to import due to non-compliant labels after the products are shipped to China.
