In accordance with the provisions of the Food Safety Law, the National Health Commission of PRC (NHC) and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) jointly issued , publishing 50 new national food safety standards and 4 amendments.  3 nutrition and special dietary standards were announced including: “Infant Formula Food (GB10765-2021)”. 

In order to protect the health of infants and young children, NHC organized and revised 3 standards including “Infant Formula (GB10765-2021)”, “Older Infant Formula (GB10766-2021)”, and “Young Children Formula (GB10767-2021)”.  The formulation, revision and implementation of infant formula food series standards are important means to ensure the safety and nutritional adequacy of infant formula foods.  This revision guides and standardizes the technical requirements for scientific production of food manufacturers, and also leads to an important basis for regulation authorities to carry out supervision and law enforcement.  To help interpreting the implementation of the standards, Q&A on infant formula food standards will also be released.
