Labeling compliance service
Starting at October 1, 2019, GACC 2019 No. 70 “Announcement on Matters Related to the Inspection, Supervision and Administration of Import and Export Pre-packaged Food Label Inspection” has been officially implemented, and the imported pre-packaged food label inspection and supervision model has been changed.
Requirements for labeling:
- Food Safety Law and its rules;
- Advertising laws, trademark laws and other laws;
- Label related standards;
- Special food registration regulations;
- New food raw materials related announcements and reply letters;
- Related product standards, terminology standards (national standards, industry standards), etc.
Pre-packaged food labeling is one of the items that China Customs conducts for imported food inspection. If the food label fails the inspection, it may result in the destruction or return of the exported goods.
