Infant formula and powdered milk products
The Food Safety Law, which came into effect on October 1st, 2015, determined that products’ formula for infant formula and powdered milk are required to be registered. Starting from January 1, 2018, infant formula and powdered milk produced or imported into China is required to obtain certificate of registration in accordance with the law. The registration number shall be marked both on the label and instruction manual.
The applicant shall be a foreign manufacturer that intends to import infant formula and powdered milk to the People’s Republic of China.
The registration is limited to 3 series and total 9 products per applicant.
“Certificate of registration of Infant formula and powdered milk product ” is valid for 5 years. Annual review or inspection is not required. Applicant shall apply for registration extension 6 months before the expiration of the validity period when intending to continue using the original product formula.
