The “Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on the Registration and Administration of Imported Food Overseas Production Enterprises” were reviewed and approved by the General Administration of Customs Executive Meeting on March 12, 2021, which are hereby promulgated and will be implemented on January 1, 2022. The former Decree of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine No. 145 was promulgated on March 22, 2012, and the “Regulations on the Registration and Management of Overseas Production Enterprises of Imported Food” was revised in accordance with the Decree of the General Administration of Customs No. 243 on November 23, 2018, which shall be repealed at the same time.

Decree of the General Administration of Customs No.248 (Decree on the issuance of the “Regulations on the Registration and Administration of Overseas Production Enterprises of Imported Food of the People’s Republic of China”) published on April 12th, 2021.

Decree No. 248 puts forward the requirements for the registration of imported food overseas production enterprises to obtain the registration of the General Administration of Customs. It explained the registration conditions, registration methods, types of products involved, review requirements, and other aspects.
