GACC: Any product without disinfection certificates will not be allowed to be sold on the market

The General Administration of Customs, in conjunction with the Ministry of Transport, the Health Commission, the General Administration of Market Supervision and other departments, has formulated the “Work Plan for Preventive and Comprehensive Disinfection of Imported Cold Chain Food”.  This work plan was made in order to strengthen the normalization of the epidemic prevention effectively, control works and effectively preventing the risk of the corona virus epidemic from importing the cold chain foods.

According to the logistics characteristics of imported cold chain food, after completing the corona virus detection and sampling work as required, implementation of preventive and comprehensive disinfection will be done before the first personnel contact in China at the port inspection, transportation, storage, wholesale and retail respectively.

Department of market supervision will request a disinfection certificate from food producers and operators for imported cold-chain food products issued by sterilization unit.  Any product without disinfection certificates will not be allowed to be sold on the market.
