China’s foreign trade had grown 1.8% in the first 11 months

According to the statistics from GACC, during the first 11 months of 2020, China’s foreign trade value was $29.04 trillion RMB, an increase of 1.8% comparing to last year.  Among them, exports were $16.13 trillion RMB, an increase of 3.7%; imports were$ 12.91 trillion RMB, a decrease of 0.5%; the trade surplus was $3.22 trillion RMB, an increase of 24.6%.  In terms of U.S. dollars, China’s foreign trade value was $4.17 trillion USD during the first 11 months, an increase of 0.6%.  Among them, exports were $2.31 trillion USD, an increase of 2.5%; imports were $1.86 trillion USD, a decrease of 1.6%; the trade surplus was $459.92 billion USD, an increase of 23%.

China’s top 5 trading partners including ASEAN, EU, US, Japan and South Korea all had foreign trading growth during the first 11 months period.  ASEAN, China’s largest trading partner, had total trade value of $4.24 trillion RMB, an increase of 6.7%.  EU was China’s second largest trading partner, with a total trade value of $4.05 trillion RMB, an increase of 4.7%.  US, as China’s third largest trading partner, had total trade value of $3.65 trillion RMB, an increase of 6.9%.

The imports and exports of private companies had also increased during the first 11 months with 13.47 trillion RMB, an increase of 11.3%, accounting for 46.4% of China’s total foreign trade value, 4% growth comparing to last year.
