Announcement on Adjusting the Catalogue of Prohibited Commodities in Processing Trade

The Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs have adjusted the catalog of prohibited commodities for processing trade.  The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

  1. Exclude products with high energy consumption and high pollution and products with high technical content from the catalog of prohibited commodities in the processing trade in the “2014 Announcement No. 90 of the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs”, removing total 199 of ten-digit product codes. At the same time, adjustments were made to the prohibition methods of some commodities (see attachment in the source).
  2. The adjusted catalog of prohibited commodities for processing trade shall still be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of the “2014 Announcement No. 90 of the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs”.
  3. This announcement will be implemented starting December 1st 2020.
