State Administration for Market Regulation publicly solicits opinion survey on “Catalogue of health functions for dietary supplements allowed to claim: Non-nutrient supplements (2020 Edition)”

According to the “Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China” and the “Administrative Measures for the Catalogue of Health Food Ingredients and Health Function Catalogues”, the State Administration for Market Regulation organized the drafting of the “Catalogue of health functions for dietary supplements allowed to claim: Non-nutrient supplements (2020 Edition)(opinion survey)”.
Simultaneously, in view of the fact that the Ministry of Health no longer accepts and approves the anti-tumor, auxiliary anti-tumor, anti-mutation, and anti-aging health care functions. The original function of promoting lactation, improving the function of growth and development, and improving the function of skin oil are not in line with the existing health function positioning stipulated in the “Measures”. Those functions mentioned above are no longer included in the health function catalog that allows dietary supplements to claim. For other approved health functions that have not yet been recommended to be included in the “Catalogue”, the registrant of the dietary supplements should be included in the “Catalogue” in accordance with the “Measures” and subsequent supporting regulatory requirements. SAMIR is now soliciting opinions from the general public.
