Some import and export commodities other than statutory inspection commodities will be subject to random inspections

On August 21st, the General Administration of Customs issued Announcement No. 95 of 2020, have decided to conduct random inspections on some import and export commodities other than the statutory inspection commodities in 2020. The scope of the random inspections involves 28 categories of import and export commodities, of which 22 are imported commodities, 6 are export commodities. The random inspections will take effect from the date of this announcement.
Sampling inspections are carried out in accordance with the “Administrative Measures for Import and Export Commodities Sampling Inspections” (previously issued by Order No. 39 of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and revised by Order No. 238 of the General Administration of Customs).
The scope of commodities is including as following:
- Imported goods: children’s clothing, stationery, neckties, silk scarves, scarves, toilets, dishwashers, air purifiers, printers, electric water heaters, microcomputers, televisions, surveillance cameras , garbage disposals, induction cooktops, motor vehicle horns, retro reflectors for motor vehicle, motor vehicle brake hoses, automotive interior parts, dyes, pigments, coloring materials, etc.
- Export commodities: simulation accessories, children’s bicycles, children’s scooters, electric strollers, plush toys, electric hot water faucets, etc.
