Interpretation of "Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemics in Meat Processing Enterprises"

Recently, meat processing companies in Europe such as Germany, the United Kingdom and other European and American countries have successively experienced clusters of new crown pneumonia. Workplaces such as slaughter, segmentation, storage, and packaging are mostly densely populated low-temperature closed environments, which bring a greater risk of virus transmission.
In order to scientifically guide meat processing enterprises to prevent and control the epidemic of new coronavirus infection and pneumonia, and to improve the awareness and ability of prevention and control of meat processing enterprises in a targeted manner, the State Council of P. R. China has issued the “Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of the New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic of Meat Processing Enterprises” on July 21st 2020. All provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps are required to follow.
National Health Commission R. R. China provided the Interpretation on July 23rd 2020. The interpretation describes the key points to further strengthen the prevention and control of New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemics in meat processing enterprises from five aspects to prevent the virus spread out.
- The first step is in terms of organizational guarantees and systems;
- The second is personnel control;
- The third is the management and control of key links and key places;
- The fourth is personal protection;
- The fifth is the handling and reporting of abnormal situations.
